I offer a variety of services, mostly relating to music production.
Audio Engineering
I charge $20/hour for audio engineering services, including live sound, studio recording, mobile recording, and mixing. I have a small complement of gear (list coming soon, available on request), a good relationship with a rental and sales company, and the ability to go to most any studio or set of live gear you choose and use that setup.
I have easy access to 3 studio environments. I can always check out (free to you) on your favorite studio and work there.
-My home studio is operational. I can track small groups or groups in pieces, and can do editing. I have a collection of microphones, and with planning can borrow or rent anything necessary for a project.
-At Audio Consultant Services Inc., I have just helped erect a vocal booth. It is 7'x7', and could fit a full drum kit, though it might be kind of tight. Snakes are run, and we can currently track to Pro Tools, Cubase, or Cool Edit Pro. We will soon have a more dedicated DAW system, capable of more powerful mixing projects. We charge $35 an hour, including engineer.
-With Bendiksen Productions, I have access to the Denver Music Association Studio. Their main tracking room there is capable of holding a small orchestra. Their facilities use a Pro Tools HD system and an assortment of gear. They charge $35 an hour for the studio, $20 an hour for engineer (though discuss with me and we might be able to come to something), and they may require a membership to the Music Association. That membership has other benefits, so can be well worth while for a number of reasons.
Web Design
I charge $25/hour for web design. You may view my work at any of my sites, including this one, audioconsultantsinc.com, lunareclipserecordings.com, some work at bendiksenproductions.com, and my various Myspaces, starting with myspace.com/derick_disterhoft. I can do anything you need. And if I don't have the exact knowledge yet, I am well grounded and can acquire the knowledge necessary for your project at no cost to you.
To be completely open to those who understand, I know HTML, XHTML, and CSS very well. I have a good grounding for PHP and continue to learn more. I have begun to learn Flash and continue to learn more. I have a background with programming, having studied Pascal, C, and C++ in highschool and early college. And most importantly, I have a voracious desire to learn more.
Graphic Design
I charge $25/hour for graphic design. I have background with visual art, drawing and painting in my youth. I continue to learn and work with Photoshop and other graphics software, and various techniques. I can work with or learn whatever you need for your project.
Stage Hand
I charge $20/hour to work as a freelance stage hand in the Front Range area. I am currently employed with Fastlane Productions, and often work with other companies in the area including Ceavco, IPG, MPG, LAVA, with Rick Helfer, and others. Audio is my primary are of skill, but through work experience I have become adept with sound systems, power, lighting, video, staging, rigging, and decor elements. Whether you just need a truck loaded or unloaded, setting up a full production, or running a specific element for show, I'm your man.
Other services:
CD/DVD Printing and Duplication: I have the capability to do short run CD and DVD printing and duplication. Please write me to discuss pricing, as it varies according to the size of the job.
Audio Equipment Sales: I have an excellent relationship with Audio Consultant Services Inc. in Denver. Through them (or me directing you to them) I can obtain any piece of equipment you could want, with a quick turn-around. Microphones, outboard gear, cables, PAs, anything. Write me to discuss your project.
Music Business: I use that phrase because it is a good catch all for music industry business. If you need flyers or graphic material organized, I can do it. If you need to be referred to other musicians or musician services, I have good connections in the area. If you want someone to shop to labels, chase people around, or otherwise harass A&R execs, I will be your guy. Recording studios, gear, performers, we can find it. Booking, either I can do it, or someone I know can do it.
